Our Awards
At Muckross Irish Gin, we craft our spirit with the same care and character that defines the wild beauty of Killarney National Park. Our dedication to quality and authenticity has earned international recognition, with silver medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021, and the London Spirits Competition in both 2022 and 2024.
Most recently, we were honoured with two Gold Medals at the 2025 Berlin International Spirits Competition—an achievement that reflects our passion for creating a truly exceptional Irish gin.
These awards are more than accolades—they’re a testament to the taste, tradition, and soul poured into every bottle of Muckross Irish Gin.
San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021
In 2021, Muckross Irish Gin was awarded a prestigious Silver Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition—not just for what’s inside the bottle, but for the bottle itself.
This recognition in the design category celebrates the striking visual identity of Muckross: a beautifully tactile bottle, an intricately illustrated label, and a design that captures the spirit of the Irish landscape.
Every detail, from the texture to the storytelling artwork, was crafted to reflect the heritage and natural beauty of Muckross and Killarney. It’s a bottle that looks as good as the gin tastes—made to be admired, gifted, and proudly poured.
London Spirits Competition 2022
In 2022, Muckross Irish Gin was proud to receive a Silver Medal at the London Spirits Competition—a recognition that celebrates not only our craftsmanship, but the distinctive character of our gin.
Judges praised its vibrant citrus aromas, with notes of lemon and orange peel coming through on the nose. On the palate, bold juniper takes centre stage, layered with a subtle woody herbaceousness that melts into a long, spicy finish.
It’s a gin that speaks of depth, balance, and the wild Irish landscape that inspires every drop.
London Spirits Competition 2024
Our Silver Medal win at the 2024 London Spirits Competition marks another proud milestone for Muckross Irish Gin. Building on the praise we received in 2022, this year’s judges noted a refined evolution in our London Dry style—highlighting a lighter juniper presence, balanced by sweet undertones. The finish is short yet memorable, with a lingering warmth that leaves a lasting impression.
It’s a testament to the complexity and finesse of our distillation, where bright citrus, woody herbaceousness, and warming spice come together to create a gin that continues to impress on the world stage.
Berlin Spirits Competition 2025
We were honoured to be awarded a Gold Medal at the 12th Annual Berlin International Spirits Competition, held in March 2025. With over 250 spirits submitted from 16 countries, the competition was fierce, and the standard incredibly high.
Judged by a panel of respected industry experts, the award reflects not only the quality of our gin, but the care and craft that goes into every bottle of Muckross.
Scoring an outstanding 95 points, our gin stood out for its balance, character, and depth of flavour.
Berlin Spirits Competition 2025
In addition to our Gold Medal, Muckross Irish Gin was named Ireland Gin of the Year 2025—a title that fills us with immense pride.
This recognition from an international panel is a celebration of our roots in the heart of Killarney, and a tribute to the wild Irish botanicals that shape our gin’s unique profile.
It’s an honour that speaks to both our commitment to excellence and the growing global appreciation for Irish craft spirits.
London Spirits Competition 2025
In 2025, Muckross Irish Gin was awarded a Bronze Medal at the London Spirits Competition, further cementing our reputation for quality and craft. Judges highlighted the aromatic presence of rosemary and soft herbal notes, praising our gin’s fresh, well-balanced palate and a long finish with a pleasant, lingering bitterness of the orange and grapefruit. This complexity makes it an exceptional choice for cocktails—bringing both depth and elegance to any serve, while staying true to the natural character that defines Muckross.
